This is a remote position with occasional travel to Theory Test Centres, therefore a valid UK driving license and access to your own vehicle is required. Managed by the Head/Deputy Head of IT and Security, the SIM Team are responsible for the provision of security assurance across the Reed Assessment Test Centre Network (TCN). The SIM Team primarily consists of SIM Execs and Security Support Assistants (SSAs). SIM Execs ensure the SIM Team HD is manned during all Reed Assessment TCN operational periods. Where an incident of suspected fraud has taken place, Fraud Evidence Packs are produced by the SIM Team and provided to the DVSA in line with contractual KPIs. Just some of your day-to-day responsibilities will include: To operate, develop and take ownership of the SIM Team training function working with regional SIMEs to ensure training requirements are met Completion, coordination and documenting of security-based training visits of RA Test Centres and Theory Test delivery processes in line with remedial requirements, RCAs or any reasonable management request SIM Team support and administrative processes to ensure TCN compliance with security elements of DVSA contract requirements (SoR) Retrospective analysis of security related KPI information, IMP reporting and fraud reporting to assist in coordinated training capability within the SIM Team Support to management in the preparation and delivery of quarterly mandated SIM Team Security Training sessions The regional SIM Team are responsible for the daily operation of the SIM Team HD ensuring all calls are processed and actioned where required The SIM Team also ensure the SIM Team email inbox is monitored with all emails being actioned as necessary What’s in it for you? To be successful in this role, we are looking for someone with: Evidence of experience in the delivery of security advice, guidance and support across multiple geographical locations. Evidence of understanding industry recognised security policies and procedures. High ethical standards with proven ability to handle highly confidential and sensitive information, excellent judgment, discretion, and diplomacy. Ability to quickly understand contractual requirements and support a control framework. An ability to gather, analyse and evaluate facts and to prepare and present concise verbal and written reports. Experience of working in a collaborative manner with operational teams, whilst maintaining independence, integrity, and confidentiality. Exemplary written and verbal communication skills. Experience in the delivery of security training relating to threats, trends and mitigations. Ability to communicate effectively, including supporting the production and delivery of high-quality presentations to internal and external customers. Exemplary organisational and time management skills, including the ability to work to deadlines. Demonstrate a high level of business and commercial awareness. Delivery of a proactive and flexible, ‘can do’ attitude. Willingness to work away from home base, as required (this will mean staying overnight infrequently) Good experience and knowledge of the full Microsoft Office package (Excel, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, etc). Possession of a valid Driving Licence.
