Role overview
Identifying the True Requirement:
Using various techniques to gather business needs from stakeholders, e.g. focus groups, observation, prototyping, workshops etc.
Process Mapping:
Develop process maps to define “as is” and “to be” processing to identify pain points, improvements, and define business process requirements and form the basis of UAT and training.
Data Mapping:
Develop logical data models to define business requirements, and collaborate with Technical Architects to define physical implementation data models supporting flexible implementation designs.
Documentation:
Details the reason why, giving greater insight into how it is/should be used. BAs are responsible for multiple types of documentation throughout the project lifecycle including: stakeholder analysis, current state analysis, gap analysis, acceptance criteria, user acceptance test plans, and many others.
Automation Discovery:
Assess the “to be” processing running across the logical data model to identify functionality requiring custom UIs and automation to deliver effective support for business requirements.
Creating User stories:
Statements that are structured “as a [role], I want to [action], so that I can [outcome]”, outlining the work you need to complete to meet the overall business requirement. These will be used to validate development work, create test-scripts, especially during user acceptance testing (UAT).
Client & Team Communication:
Effectively communicate the possibilities & implications with the ability to push back on client requests through positive expectation management
Actively engage and interact with senior management and maintain stakeholder relationships, taking interest in the overall direction of the client's project/programme of works
Identify, raise and document project issues and risks, and present these to Project team and stakeholders
Ability to be involved in presales to gather & validate a potential client’s requirements with Salesforce products and simple integrations
Salesforce & wider Technology Landscape:
Understand other connected technologies for Salesforce (e.g. managed packages, other clouds, etc) and their interaction and application in the wider technology landscape.
To know and promote Salesforce best practice and utilise Salesforce’s declarative functionality as far as possible, with the technical acumen to know when a code based solution is more appropriate
Recommend new features and improvements to optimize and increase use of the platform
Data & Integration:
Migration strategy, data mapping, legacy cleansing
API integrations and middleware awareness
User Acceptance Testing (UAT):
Ensures the right people are testing the right things, and can be the deciding figure between go-live, or back to the drawing board.
Ensure Salesforce runs smoothly by testing and adjusting as needed, then documenting fixes

We are seeking a Salesforce Business Analyst, probably working within a consultancy or an internal enterprise client environment, to join us at Bluewave to play a crucial role in delivering clients’ strategic objectives alongside implementation of technological solutions.
Evidence based record of leading client-facing engagements, in particular; Discovery workshops, Solution design meetings and wider project meetings whether with business or technical teams - including presenting to senior and executive stakeholders.
You will leverage your industry expertise and blend these with the practicalities of delivering technological solutions that transform and improve business processes, drive efficiency, and enable organizational change.
As an exceptional communicator, demonstrating honesty, openness, and transparency, you will foster trust and strong partnerships with our clients. This combined with your team-orientated mindset will enable collaborative environments.
Outstanding expectation management will help the project to navigate scope, stakeholders with an ability to centre around what is feasible and realistic. Having identified pain-points, challenging requirements or technical feasibility issues being able to re-imagine requirements in such a way that solution designs are more efficient, effective and minimise technical debt is vital to being an effective Bluewaver.
