About this role

We’re looking for a Salesforce Architect to lead technical solution design and delivery across Sales Cloud, Marketing Cloud, and Life Sciences Cloud implementations. This role combines client-facing leadership with deep platform expertise, driving discovery, architecture, and integration strategies for enterprise-scale Salesforce ecosystems. Ideal candidates are certified experts who thrive in high-accountability roles and can independently architect, prototype, and deliver best-in-class solutions that align with complex business needs.

What will this role do?

  • Client-Facing Solution Leadership: Act as the primary technical architect and subject matter expert for all client-facing projects involving the Salesforce platform.
  • Discovery & Requirements: Lead technical discovery workshops, requirement gathering sessions, and solution design reviews with senior client stakeholders.
  • Multi-Cloud Architecture: Design and document scalable, enterprise-level solutions leveraging Sales Cloud, Marketing Cloud (including Account Engagement/Pardot or Marketing Cloud proper), and Life Sciences Cloud.
  • Hands-On Prototyping: Build and demonstrate functional prototypes, proofs-of-concept, and complex configurations directly in client orgs to validate designs and get buy-in.
  • Integration Strategy: Define and design the integration architecture between Salesforce and various third-party systems, addressing data flow, API strategy, and middleware requirements.
  • Data Modeling: Architect the complete data model and sharing/security model to support complex business processes, especially those unique to the life sciences industry (e.g., patient services, provider relationship management).
  • Technical Governance: Serve as the single point of accountability for the technical integrity and success of the solution, ensuring it meets client requirements and follows platform best practices.
  • Scoping & Estimation: Actively participate in the pre-sales and resourcing process by providing technical validation, scoping, and level-of-effort (LOE) estimates for new client projects.

What do you need for this role?

  • Mandatory: 5-7+ years of hands-on Salesforce platform experience, with at least 2-3+ years in a dedicated Architect or Senior Technical Lead role.
  • Mandatory: Demonstrable project experience designing and implementing solutions using Salesforce Life Sciences Cloud. This is non-negotiable.
  • Mandatory: Proven experience with Sales Cloud AND a Marketing Cloud platform (e.g., Marketing Cloud Engagement, Account Engagement/Pardot, or Health Cloud/Marketing Cloud combinations).
  • Client-Facing Expert: Proven experience in a customer-facing role (e.g., for a consultancy or as an internal consultant) with exceptional communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Integration Master: Strong, practical experience with Salesforce integration patterns, REST/SOAP APIs, and integration platforms (MuleSoft, Boomi, Jitterbit, or custom).
  • Sole Expert Capability: Must be a self-starter comfortable working as the sole technical expert, capable of managing a solution from initial concept through to deployment without direct technical oversight.
  • Certifications (Required):
    • Salesforce Certified Administrator
    • Salesforce Certified Sales Cloud Consultant
    • Salesforce Certified Marketing Cloud (Email Specialist or Consultant) OR Account Engagement (Specialist or Consultant)
  • Certifications (Strongly Preferred):
    • Salesforce Certified Application Architect OR System Architect
    • Salesforce Certified Life Sciences Cloud Accredited Professional
