· Assist with developing annual Sales Plan for approval and execute approved sales promotion activities to meet the objectives of the GTA. · Assist with monitoring and evaluating Grenada’s sales promotions strategy and prepare reports for submission to the CEO to ascertain their effectiveness in meeting GTA goals. Set sales targets with the team to ensure that goals are met. Conduct sales calls with the travel trade and other tourism stakeholders to create enthusiasm for the Grenada product. Conduct training seminars, webinars and presentations on Grenada as a tourism destination to increase awareness of Grenada’s product offering. · Create collaborative working relationships with advertising, public relations and promotion agencies to encourage and capitalize on ideas. · Negotiate with travel trade partners to ensure effective promotion of Grenada as a preferred travel destination. Recommend new marketing initiatives for the promotion of Grenada within the source market to keep the destination fresh and exciting. Establish, develop and manage relationships with interest groups to develop awareness of Grenada’s niche offerings. · Undertake research and prepare analysis on market issues that may affect visitor travel to Grenada to determine the feasibility of plans and objectives. · Maintain proper control of expenditure to ensure compliance with budgetary processes. Perform specific target marketing to Diaspora through collaboration with the Grenada High Commission to capitalize on heritage and cultural tourism. Any other duties as required by Management from time to time.
