Sales & Events Specialist The MRG Group Vancouver, BC Who we are: MRG is Canada’s largest independent concert promoter and live entertainment venue operator. We produce over 1000 events annually across 9 owned and operated venues and have produced concerts hosted in clubs and arenas domestically, as well as Europe and Asia-Pacific. We are at the forefront of the experience economy. Who you are: Reporting directly to the National Head of Sales and Events, the Sales & Events Specialist is responsible for assisting with incoming inquiries into the business for reservation bookings as well as finding sales opportunities internally and externally. The Sales & Events Specialist will also assist with the guest experience on the day of the events and is expected to be working in-venue as required. Fine Print: Performance driven role where success is measured by achieving specific sales targets. Develop and implement sales initiatives and strategies. Increasing and building sales through proactive networking and outreach. Act as point of contact for inquiries into regional venues via phone and email. Upsell party packages and corporate events. Maintain property guest lists and booked event schedule. Identify and communicate corporate and event sales opportunities. Align with the Sales & Events Manager on sales strategies. Remain current on local events. Maintain property calendar for internal and relevant external events. Align with clients on event details, pricing and packages. Liaise and consistent communication with venue management. Create Positive Shareable Experiences (PSEs!) We are looking for someone with: Experience in hospitality (food, beverage and/or events). Outstanding customer service skills. Problem solving and analytical abilities. Accuracy and attention to detail. Project management, multi-tasking, and time management. Proficiency with Google Suite Terms & Expectations Due to the nature of the work, after hours correspondence may be required What’s In It For You?
