Boater’s World Marine Centers is seeking a highly organized, customer-focused, and detail-driven Sales Assistant to support our fast-paced and high-performing Sales Team. This role plays a critical part in ensuring smooth dealership operations, efficient deal flow, and an exceptional customer experience from first contact through delivery.


The ideal candidate has strong dealership experience, thrives in a busy environment, and enjoys being the “glue” that keeps everything running at a high level. This is a hands-on, high-responsibility position where accuracy, communication, and follow-through are essential.


Key Responsibilities:

  •  Assist the Sales Team with preparing, organizing, and finalizing deals
  •  Manage scheduling for customer appointments, test drives, follow-ups, and unit deliveries
  •  Work closely with Sales Managers, Service, Parts, and Finance to ensure seamless deal flow
  •  Prepare sales paperwork, collect customer documents, and maintain complete accuracy across all files
  •  Provide ongoing support to customers throughout the sales process—answering questions, routing inquiries, and delivering timely updates
  •  Utilize the company CRM extensively to maintain customer records, log follow-ups, update lead activity, and help keep the sales pipeline organized
  •  Use Lightspeed (DMS) regularly to create deals, input data, track inventory availability, and ensure paperwork flows correctly between departments
  •  Help manage customer traffic, greet walk-ins, and ensure proper routing to available sales staff
  •  Track inventory status, inbound units, rigging timelines, and availability as needed
  •  Assist with daily sales logs, reporting, and internal communication
  •  Support the overall organization and efficiency of the sales floor
Requirements
  •  Prior dealership experience (marine, automotive, RV, or powersports) strongly preferred
  •  Experience using dealership systems such as Lightspeed DMS and CRM platforms highly preferred
  •  Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks at once
  •  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both with customers and internal teams
  •  High accuracy in paperwork handling, documentation, and system entry
  •  Customer-service mindset with a professional, positive, and proactive attitude
  •  Comfortable learning and navigating multiple software systems
  •  Ability to work independently while contributing to a team-driven environment
  •  Strong follow-up habits and ability to keep multiple tasks moving on schedule
  •  Flexibility to work weekends, including Saturdays, during peak seasons
  •  Energetic, self-motivated, and eager to support a fast-moving team
