Key Responsibilities Serve as a dedicated Risk Business Partner, supporting first line management in embedding the Group’s risk management framework. Monitor and report on business areas’ adherence to risk appetite, ensuring timely escalation and resolution of issues. Champion a strong risk culture through regular engagement with stakeholders across the organisation. Conduct targeted risk assessments in collaboration with business units, developing a deep understanding of their risk profiles and processes. Facilitate and enhance the Risk & Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) process, including leading workshops and meetings. Ensure risks and issues are appropriately identified, managed, and escalated. Review new business initiatives, acting as a project liaison to ensure risks are assessed and managed effectively. Support the development and delivery of risk training and awareness initiatives. Attend and contribute to the Enterprise Risk Committee and other governance forums. Assist in the management and enhancement of the Risk Reporting and Analysis tool, and support the production of risk MI. Respond to requests from regulators, auditors, and senior stakeholders. Monitor compliance with Group policies, including those related to Operational Risk, Market Exposure, Data Protection, and Outsourcing. Contribute to the ICARA and Liquidity Management Framework, including scenario and stress testing workshops. Support the planning and delivery of ICARA processes, including stress testing and wind-down planning. Assist in preparing risk-related sections of regulatory reports. Coordinate daily counterparty exposure reporting, mark-to-market calculations, and support the Market Exposure Committee (MEC). Qualifications & Experience Degree-level education (or equivalent). Proven experience in risk management, with the ability to advise on risk mitigation strategies. Strong stakeholder management skills and experience working on risk and control matters. Experience in financial or professional services (preferred). Working knowledge of UK wealth management regulations (preferred). Relevant postgraduate or professional qualifications (preferred). Skills & Competencies Strong relationship-building and stakeholder engagement skills. Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to convey complex information clearly. Deep understanding of risk management principles, tools, and techniques. Familiarity with prudential regulations and ICARA processes (desirable). Experience in conducting risk reviews and assessing control environments. Technologically proficient, with experience using risk systems and Microsoft Office tools. Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Effective time management and initiative. Comfortable presenting to senior audiences, including Executive and Board levels.
