Job Title - RFP Writer Business Title: Senior Associate Department – Client Experience Location – London, UK Job Summary The Global RFP Team is responsible for responding to detailed Request for Proposal (RFP), Request for Information (RFI), ESG and Due Diligence Questionnaires (DDQ) primarily from the Institutional segment of the investment management industry. The RFP writer is responsible for sourcing, creating, and maintaining responses to product-specific questions and ensuring the accuracy and consistency of company-level language in all external documents. This involves working with client service, business development, client portfolio management and other functional business areas (operations, compliance, risk, legal), across our global locations. Principal Responsibilities Completion of high-quality RFPs, RFIs, DDQs and ESG Questionnaires for institutional and wealth clients globally, to agreed deadlines, across private assets such as private credit, real estate and diversified alternative equity. Assist the company in raising and retaining assets by developing, maintaining and distributing clear, accurate, consistent and persuasive firm and product information for use in business proposals. Adhere to the formal RFP production, back-up and review processes. Manage internal deadlines for input from Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) including business development, client portfolio management, investment associates, client service, operations, legal and compliance. Ensure RFP responses are accurate and always present the investment case for Barings in the best light. Make sure that the competitive advantages of the company and our products come across strongly in RFPs. Keep updated with changes within the firm, products, and industry, ensuring changes are reflected in all requests and the RFP database. Ensure information-flow through the RFP team. Assist in the on-going enhancement and maintenance of the RFP database of responses. Demonstrate strong writing ability to draft any new content required. Work with client portfolio managers, investment managers and other content owners/ SMEs to ensure accurate, consistent and compelling content. Develop the RFP team’s profile with the investment, client portfolio management, and distribution teams; build relationships and develop strong knowledge of products and marketing and sales initiatives. Participate proactively in team projects and initiatives. Qualifications 2-4 years in RFP or related experience in the asset management, financial services, or capital markets industry. Bachelor’s degree required. Demonstrable project management experience including deadline management, stakeholder management, editorial capability and full ownership of proposal writing process from start to finish. Self-starter, must be able to operate at a high level, prioritise key tasks, and handle multiple projects simultaneously. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential. Must have the ability to work independently on complex projects at a high level of proficiency. Collaborate with the wider global team on business improvement initiatives, team-level projects and RFP database management. Highly organised and able to multi-task in an environment of change. Strong attention to detail, excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills.
