Position Summary
The Retail Marketing & Media Manager will lead the planning, execution, and measurement of Boka's retail marketing initiatives across all retail accounts. As the owner of our audience-based marketing spend, this role is responsible for bringing retail launches to life by connecting Sales, Brand Marketing, Creative, Growth Marketing, and retailer media teams to deliver best-in-class execution for every customer.
The ideal candidate is equal parts project manager, marketer, and analyst—someone who thrives on managing complex launches, coordinating cross-functional teams, leveraging retail media to drive growth, and using data to continuously optimize performance.
Key Responsibilities
1. Media Management & Audience-Based Strategy

Media Ownership: Manage and optimize all marketing spend across channels aimed at driving audience growth and retail velocity.

Retail Media Networks (RMNs): Develop and execute retail media campaigns across platforms like Walmart Connect, Target Roundel, and other major RMNs.

Platform Expertise: Leverage deep knowledge of Meta, Demand-Side Platforms (DSPs), and broader online advertising to drive retail attribution and omnichannel success.

Creative & Hook Strategy: You understand that "creative is the new targeting." You will bridge the gap between media buying and creative execution analyzing visual performance data (hook rates, hold rates), writing clear briefs for design teams, and managing a robust creative testing pipeline.

Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) & Funnel Ownership: Audit and optimize post-click experiences. Partner with web developers and CRO teams to build, test, and iterate on high-converting landing pages (via Shopify) ensuring ad traffic actually converts.
- Search Synergy: Work closely and highly collaboratively with the Search Lead to ensure search and audience-based media strategies are complementary and holistic.
2. Campaign Execution & Cross-Functional Collaboration

End-to-End Management: Oversee campaign briefs, timelines, approvals, asset delivery, and overall launch readiness.

Partnership: Build campaigns and partner with retailer media teams and internal agency partners to ensure flawless execution and optimization.

Internal Alignment: Work closely with the Commercial team, Brand Marketing, and specifically the Creative and Social teams to ensure all media is supported by compelling, brand-aligned assets.

Innovation: Stay current on evolving retail media capabilities and proactively recommend new opportunities to drive brand growth.
3. Analytics, Budget, & Performance Optimization

Data-Led Decision Making: Analyze full-funnel metrics (NTB, ROAS, CPA, LTV, and CAC) on a daily basis. Take rapid actions to hit performance goals.

Budget Management: Manage all retail marketing budgets, forecasts, invoice processing, and spend tracking.

Reporting & Dashboards: Develop dashboards and scorecards to measure campaign effectiveness across retail media, promotions, launches, and shopper marketing initiatives.

KPI Tracking: Monitor and report on key performance indicators, including:
- Sales Lift & Incremental Sales
- Return on Ad Spend (ROAS)
- Conversion Rates
- New-to-Brand Customers
- Media Performance & Promotional Effectiveness

Business Reviews: Lead post-campaign business reviews with clear, data-driven insights and actionable recommendations.

Strategic Investment: Partner with Sales, Finance, and Marketing to maximize marketing ROI and inform future investment decisions.

A/B Testing & Playbook Codification: Run continuous testing across audiences, creative formats, and bidding strategies. Build out and update our internal Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to turn successful tests into scalable, company-wide frameworks.

AI-Driven Scaling & Automation: Proactively leverage AI and automation tools to optimize paid performance (budget management, bids management, targeting, creative concepts and landing page conversion rate optimisation) as well as automate routine optimization tasks to maintain a lean, fast-moving operation.
The Ideal Candidate

Experience: 5+ years of experience in a media agency or on the brand side, with deep knowledge of retail marketing, e-commerce, and media buying.

US Experience or managing media for the US Market is a plus
