Work Flexibility: Hybrid **Please submit your CV in English** Responsable Relations Sociales (H/F) / Social Relations Manager with international context This position will serve as the country liaison for all Workplace Practices (WP) matters in France. The incumbent will closely interact and align with Business Facing and other HR entities in France and be responsible to design and drive or coordinate Workplace Practice initiatives for France. What you will do: The essential duties and responsibilities entail, but are not limited to the following fields of Workplace Practices (WP) work: Works Council Relations Act as the central hub to coordinate Work Council (WC) / Union information and negotiations on international projects and initiatives across France. Lead and oversee France-wide WC negotiations and information processes, ensuring strong alignment with Business Facing HR in France. Provide expert legal and strategic advice on all WC/Union interactions, including the interpretation and application of French labor law. Develop and refine processes to ensure efficiency and compliance in cooperation with WC’s and Unions. Conduct training and education for HR and business leaders on French co-determination rights, bargaining agreements, and key legal obligations. Assess and monitor Union/WC-related risks, providing mitigation strategies in close collaboration with HR and Legal stakeholders. HR Compliance Support EMEA and global WP on projects addressing compliance of HR processes in general. Advise on compliance risks, ensuring all policies and practices meet the highest legal standards. Restructurings/ RIF´s Provide expert guidance to business teams and HR on restructuring and RIF projects in France, ensuring full compliance with French labor law. Manage stakeholder alignment, apply best practices and design standards, and monitor outcomes. Anticipate legal risks and collateral impacts, developing strategies to minimize exposure. What you need: Demonstrated excellence in customer relations and building strong and influential relationships. Problem solving skills and proactive service orientation. Proven ability to drive programs, lead people through change and meet deliverables in a complex environment. Strong written, verbal communication and presentation skills. Ability to work under tight deadlines and in a rapidly changing regulatory and business environment. Demonstrated ability to work on highly confidential matters and to maintain absolute discretion and confidentiality as to those matters. Required: Minimum of 5 years professional experience, with at least 3+ years in employment law or HR roles with a strong legal focus. Expert knowledge and practical application of French labor law, including collective bargaining, restructuring, co-determination, and union relations. Hands-on experience in managing negotiations with Unions and Works Councils. Fluent in English and negotiation-level fluent in French. Bachelor’s degree required Preferred: Master’s degree or specialization in Employment/Labor Law strongly preferred. Project Management experience. These roles could have travel expectations, and you must work within the country of the job requisition location. Field-based – You can expect to regularly work a majority to 100% of time at customer facilities and has a set territory or expectation to travel within a set boundary. Almost all sales roles would likely be qualified as field-based. Onsite – Role is 100% located at a Stryker facility. Some ad hoc flexibility may be available depending on role, level, and job requirements. Manufacturing roles and any role that requires physical presence at the office would qualify under this category. Hybrid – You can expect to regularly work in both an alternate workplace and a Stryker facility. Roles that are partially remote or co-located would qualify as hybrid, and the expectation to be onsite would be defined and agreed upon by your manager/supervisor.
