Job Description The Research Analyst will play a crucial role in supporting our corporate finance and debt advisory service lines by producing and delivering high-quality research and analysis primarily focused on private equity. They will be part of a small Research and Sponsor Coverage team, supporting the larger national corporate finance business. This role involves supporting transaction teams with various research tasks, from quick requests to detailed, value-added projects, and contributing to the success of FRP by providing strategic insights and data. Key Responsibilities Producing and delivering high quality research and analysis across the corporate finance and debt advisory service lines Supporting the transaction teams with research varying from quick requests to detailed, value-added projects Producing well-researched acquisition target or buyer lists/reports – building a specialism within private equity and their portfolio companies Undertaking valuation exercises, specifically comparable transactions and listed company analysis Assisting in the production of prospective client pitch documents Utilising and contributing to the in-house CRM and project management tool to provide supporting information Acting as coordinator for FRP and our wider international network, including identifying potential buyers for mandates, management of the network’s website and tracking interactions Qualifications Bachelor’s degree with strong preference to Business & Finance or Information Management related courses Relevant work experience, which could include in Corporate Finance, Private Equity or Law Experience of researching companies, private equity, markets and sectors Good working knowledge of research tools and databases such as S&P Capital IQ, Pitchbook, Mergermarket, Valu8 is desirable Experience of working on multiple research projects simultaneously with a range of timescales, often across varying sectors Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively as part of a wider client project team Strategic thinker who goes beyond what information is available through subscribed sources to find the information they need Excellent English (written and spoken) Confidence in presenting your work both verbally and in written form Microsoft Office (in particular PowerPoint and Excel) Additional Information Our Values Straightforward: We provide clear, no-nonsense advice Confident: Our guidance is backed by expertise and evidence Pragmatic: We focus on practical solutions and tangible outcomes Real: We are professional yet approachable, understanding the challenges our clients face Our Commitment to You and the Environment At FRP, sustainability is integral to our strategy and operations.
