As a member of the healthcare team, the Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) provides quality patient care to patients within the RPN scope of practice, and in collaboration with the RN when indicated. 1. Current Certificate of Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario as a Registered Practical Nurse 2. Current certificates or current community college studies in asepsis, wound care, physical assessment, venipuncture, medication administration including the administration of IV medications, and transcription of physicians orders 3. Current CPR Certificate 4. Recent (minimum 2 years) experience in a clinic setting 5. Demonstrated ability to function within an interdisciplinary team including nursing collaboration with RN and other members of the health care team 6. Demonstrated ability to function in a fast-paced environment 7. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively (written and verbal) with patients, families, and other members of the health care team 8. Demonstrated leadership, critical-thinking, organizational and problem-solving skills
