Job Details Job Location: St Thomas, VI 00803 Position Type: Full-Time/Part-Time Education Level: High School Travel Percentage: Up to 25% Job Shift: Any Job Category: Health Care Licensed Nurse This is a PRN seasonal role to support in the Correctional Facilities of St Croix and ST Thomas of the Virigin Island. Responsibilities Provide nursing care within the corrections -setting, ensuring the health and well-being of all inmates Assess and monitor inmate's medical conditions, administer medications, and assist in emergency medical situations Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans for each inmate Document all nursing interventions and maintain accurate medical records in accordance with facility policies Adhere to strict security protocols and maintain confidentiality of inmate information at all times Administer medications and treatments according to physician's orders Monitor and assess patients' conditions and report changes to healthcare providers Perform pain management interventions as needed Conduct IV infusions and manage IV lines Assist in primary care procedures and examinations Utilize electronic health record systems for documentation Manage catheters and provide catheter care Qualifications Knowledge, Skills, and abilities must demonstrate: -Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) preferred - Valid RN license in the state of practice - Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Registered Nurse in a clinical setting - Proficiency in pain management techniques and IV infusion procedures - Experience in primary care settings and familiarity with Athenahealth or similar EHR systems - Knowledge of ophthalmology practices and procedures - Ability to perform CT scans and assist in laboratory tasks - Experience with DME management and catheter care - Familiarity with administering dermal fillers as part of aesthetic treatments Days and times will be variable based on the needs of the facility.
