Responsibilities of a Regional Distribution Centre Manager include: To ensure all vehicles are maintained in accordance with manufacturers recommendations, are roadworthy and operate within legal requirements e.g., payload, tachograph, etc. Establish and maintain personnel files for all RDC staff and ensure records and information is kept up to date. Motivate staff and hold regular monthly meetings with all staff and produce minutes of these meetings. Ensure drivers are instructed on all aspects of the operation and vehicles including procedures, quality, and security. There will be a requirement to cover the delivery routes for staff holidays and absence as well as ad hoc volume drops. The ideal candidate will have: Hold a current full C1 driving license with no more than 6 minor offence penalty points. Working knowledge of tachographs and EU driving regulations in relation to the working time directive. Be organized and flexible in approach to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Smart personal appearance is essential. Have knowledge of tachograph and drivers’ hours regulations. You will be required to complete a CRB check. This job role requires regular contact with the company’s customer base. Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills are essential. Team orientated.
