We are looking for a skilled and compassionate individual to join our veterinary clinic as a Receptionist/Veterinary Care Assistant at our Meanwood branch. As a Veterinary Care Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our Veterinary Surgeons and ensuring the smooth operation of our clinic. This position is primarily Reception based, alongside supporting our clinical team with hands-on nurse assistant duties when required. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to: *Assisting veterinary surgeons during examinations and surgeries. *Handling and caring for animals with empathy and compassion. *Maintaining a clean and organised clinical environment. *Providing exceptional customer service to clients at the reception desk. *Answering and making phones calls, scheduling appointments and managing client queries. *Assisting with billing and maintaining accurate records. About the rota This is a part-time permanent role working 32 hours per week on a Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday with 1 in 4 Saturday mornings. There will be alternate shift patterns including: *Week 1-8:15am to 5:15pm *Week 2 9:30am to 6:30pm The flexibility to work between the hours of 8am to 6:30pm is essential. Must be able to travel to our Thornbury branch for training and other branches as and when required. Our ideal candidate *Previous experience in a similar role with reception duties is preferable. *Strong customer service and communication skills are essential. *Ability to multitask efficiently. *Good administration and IT skills for managing reception duties. *Experience in cash handling/balancing. *Confidence in animal handling.
