Position Summary We are seeking a motivated Non-Registered Radiologic Technologist to join our Imaging Department. This role ensures high-quality imaging services while prioritizing patient safety, comfort, and care. The ideal candidate will demonstrate technical expertise, strong communication skills, and a commitment to excellence. Essential Functions Practice within the scope of state licensure. Maintain ARRT or modality-specific competency in all clinical and technical functions. Ensure proper patient identification, verify orders, and prepare patients for exams. Perform exams per department protocol; review images for quality, clarity, and accuracy. Adhere to radiation safety guidelines and maintain a safe working environment. Complete studies within acceptable time limits without compromising patient care. Provide patient education, ensure comfort, and address concerns. Practice infection control and sterile techniques. Operate imaging equipment and related information systems to ensure quality images. Maintain accurate records of patient information, procedures, and adverse reactions. Follow protocols for medical necessity, coding, charging, consents, QC programs, and reporting equipment failures. Required Skills Strong knowledge of anatomy and image evaluation. Proficient in equipment operation and electronic imaging systems. Familiarity with contrast protocols and emergency response procedures. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Effective communication and task prioritization. Commitment to maintaining a clean and safe environment. Minimum Qualifications Currently enrolled in a JRCERT or AMA-approved school of radiologic technology with documented completion of clinical and didactic training as required by state regulations. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers.
