We enable new opportunities for our customers through digitalisatio Foreperson Bridgend Competitive salary About the Role We are seeking a proactive and safety-focused Foreperson to lead our Aggregate operations. This role is critical in ensuring efficient production, compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental standards, and maintaining high-quality output. Key Responsibilities Ensure compliance with Health & Safety Policy, Local Managers’ Rules, Risk Assessments, and Method Statements. Lead and motivate a team, ensuring efficient and cost-effective use of labour, plant, and materials. Operate, inspect, and maintain the concrete plant to meet production and quality standards. Plan daily production based on customer requirements and plant capacity. Manage start-up and shut-down procedures and optimise throughput. Conduct thorough inspections and monitoring of plant equipment. Perform maintenance and repairs within competence and manufacturer guidelines. Operate mobile plant equipment (Front-End Loaders, dumpers) for loading and material movement. Refuel and maintain mobile plant (greasing, cleaning) as per Heidelberg Materials standards. Complete daily inspection sheets and report defects promptly. Submit near-miss reports and maintain accurate records. Liaise with colleagues, suppliers, and contractors to ensure smooth operations.
