Location: Kanata, Ottawa, ON Length of Term: 4 Months As the QNXE Test Team, our responsibilities include: Testing and verifying new features related to the QNXE Project. Collaborating closely with the QNXE Development Team to ensure that new features are validated correctly. Automating manual test cases using Python and pytest to decrease the release testing time and improve test reliability. Designing detailed test cases, test specifications, and test plans. Testing and verifying new features in different domains (graphics, cameras, hardware, ... etc) Porting and building applications from Linux to QNX. Building and customizing QNX images for various hardware and emulated environment targets. As a co-op student, you will play a vital role in enhancing the automation of test cases by increasing the percentage of automated test cases. Additionally, you will participate in testing new features and porting new applications to QNX. ou will: Become familiar with the QNX operating system Utilise Python as a test tool Write Manual and automated test cases Become familiar with the C library API to be tested and how the API could be used Debug and Analyze issue and work on the solutions Investigate and debug any issues found during the design and implementation of the test cases Report any issues to the kernel developers and kernel testers at QNX who are industry experts on embedded real-time systems You will: Currently pursuing post-secondary education in a related field Familiarity with Linux or other UNIX-like operating systems Programming experience in C/python Experience in Docker/virtualization technology Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Eagerness to learn and solve problems Above & Beyond: Experience creating test cases using C and ability to follow our coding standard and verify that the API operates as documented Familarity with targets, real hardware Why Join QNX?
