We’re partnering with a specialist manufacturer of aerospace components, supporting major civil and defence platforms. As part of their expansion, they are looking for a Project / Manufacturing Engineer who enjoys technical problem-solving, building robust engineering documentation, and working closely with design, manufacturing and quality. The RoleThis position offers variety, ownership and visibility. You’ll support engineering projects from early concept right through to production, helping to create the processes, documentation and solutions that enable the business to deliver high-quality, compliant products.Typical responsibilities include: Working alongside Design, Manufacturing and Quality to support engineering projectsCreating and maintaining high-quality technical documentation, including build methods, work instructions, route cards and engineering recordsReviewing and interpreting 2D/3D CAD drawings, models and specificationsSupporting NCR investigations, concessions and rework instructionsWorking from first principles to help define processes and components from scratch, not just template-based workSupporting DFM, tooling requirements and production optimisationInfluencing colleagues and shop-floor teams to adopt improved processes and ways of workingHelping drive continuous improvement and operational efficiency across projects About YouWe’re looking for an engineer who combines technical capability with strong communication and documentation discipline.You may currently be working as:Manufacturing EngineerProject Engineer / Project LeadProduction EngineerNPI / Industrialisation EngineerTo succeed in this role, you’ll ideally bring:Experience within aerospace or a regulated engineering environmentExcellent documentation skills — able to produce clear instructions, reports and engineering recordsAbility to read and interpret 2D/3D CAD data (design capability beneficial but not mandatory)Confidence influencing stakeholders, including traditional engineers or shop-floor teamsExperience with NCRs, concessions, rework or technical problem-solvingAbility to work from first principles and contribute to the development of new components/processesStrong communication skills and a proactive, improvement-driven mindsetIf you enjoy variety and want a role where you can have real impact across engineering and manufacturing, this will suit you well.
