Project Engineer

Location: Southeast and Midland region.

Shareridge is currently seek a reliable and experienced Project Engineer to join our growing team working on key Water & Wastewater Infrastructure projects nationwide. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and career-driven individual to grow within one of Ireland’s fastest-growing engineering companies.

As a Project Engineer you will work as part of our multi-disciplinary teams to bring projects from initial design, through to completion and handover to the client.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement solutions for multiple water and wastewater treatment projects.
  • Ensure Health, Safety, Environmental & Sustainability standards, policies and procedures are always adhered to on-site.
  • Review, prepare and submit detailed Method Statements and Risk Assessments prior to work activities commencing.
  • Ensure projects are delivered in-line with quality procedures and that testing and commissioning of the works are completed in-line with the quality plan requirements.
  • Preparation and submission of project handover files.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of project requirements
  • Liaise with relevant consultants, subcontractors, site staff, commercial resources and the general site team involved in the project
  • Other duties as required from time to time.
  • Work as part of a team in the delivery of one or more projects at any one time.
  • Participate in project review meetings

Experience:

  • Proven water and wastewater industry experience as a project engineer or similar role.
  • Ability to work as part of a team in project delivery and provide input at team meetings.
  • Ability to engage with suppliers and sub-contractors at procurement stage and in the delivery of their scope of supply during contract delivery.
  • Ability to use own initiative, problem solve and adjust as issues arise during project delivery.
  • Good working knowledge in the use of GPS, total station and CAD.
  • Strong communication skills with a high level of motivation.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving ability and adaptability to changing project requirements.
  • Full driving licence

Additional Information:

  • Location: Head office is located in Castlebar and Shareridge projects are based in the Midlands and Southeast regions, with regional offices in Limerick, Tullamore & Kilkenny
  • Travel: This role involves travel to project sites and meetings when required.
