As Programme Manager, you’ll be the tactical leader advising on strategic decisions and ensuring this landmark project is delivered safely, on time, and within budget – while navigating complex regulatory, commercial, and technical challenges. What you will be responsible for: Lead a £1bn+ Major Project: Provide clear direction and oversight of the project delivery. Drive Governance & Strategy: Simplify project complexities and enable strategic decisions at the board level. Engage Stakeholders: Collaborate with regulators, partners, and internal teams to align priorities and outcomes. Champion Safety & Quality: Ensure compliance with H&S and CDM regulations. Inspire & Develop Talent: Mentor and coach project team, fostering a culture of excellence through engagement with the Project Management Centre of Excellence. Act as a Key Decision Maker: Represent the Head of Programme Delivery when required What you’ll bring to the role: Proven track record in major project delivery within utilities, infrastructure, or other highly regulated sectors. Expertise in: DCO Planning Process, DPC/SIPR or PPP/PFI delivery models and Contract management (NEC4) Degree in Engineering, Science, or Management (or equivalent experience). Chartered Project Professional (APM ChPP) or equivalent. Exceptional leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills. Strong commercial and financial acumen with the ability to solve complex challenges.
