Product Engineer (DeFi / Trading)

Native French required Hybrid Dubai presence / relocation ABOUT THE COMPANY Our client is a Web3 engineering studio building decentralized trading infrastructure — multi-chain indexing, DEX aggregation, execution logic, and trading automation. Already generating 7-figure ARR and growing quickly, the company moves fast: short iteration cycles, “hackathon energy,” and full ownership from every team member. Small team, high impact — no bureaucracy, no layers of management, no slowdowns. LOCATION & WORK MODE On-site in Dubai (relocation expected). The team spends most of the year in Dubai. Travel & lodging assistance is fully provided. Remote is not the target for this role. Our client is looking for a Product Engineer — someone technical enough to understand the systems being built and product-minded enough to shape what gets built next. You’ll sit at the intersection of product + engineering: * translating ideas into specs * breaking features into actionable blocks * coordinating engineering work * debugging, testing, verifying * ensuring what gets shipped matches the business logic * helping structure chaos into a clear plan * jumping into code or infra when necessary This is perfect for a developer who wants more product responsibility, or a product-minded engineer who enjoys fast-moving DeFi environments. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES * Turn business goals into clear technical specs. * Break down features with engineers and help prioritize them. * Support system design, testing, debugging, and release coordination. * Work with CEO/CTO on roadmap, requirements, and impact assessment. * Jump into hands-on tasks when needed (debugging, QA, infra checks). * Balance speed with stability — ship fast, but safely. * Keep communication tight and ownership high in a small team. YOU ARE * A technical product builder who understands both code and product logic. * Comfortable switching between specs, debugging, and coordination. * Curious about DeFi, blockchain, trading, or already active in the space. * Autonomous, structured, and proactive — you turn chaos into clarity. * Someone who thrives in small, high-ownership teams. * Ready to relocate to Dubai. MUST-HAVE * Experience as a Product Engineer / Product-minded Developer / Technical PM. * Strong understanding of SDLC and modern engineering practices. * Solid grounding in backend technologies (Node.js, Python, Go, etc.). * Understanding of blockchain basics, smart contracts, or DeFi protocols. * Ability to write clear, concise specs. * Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset. * French (required). NICE TO HAVE * Hands-on development experience. * Background with DEX aggregators, trading systems, or on-chain data. * Familiarity with Solidity, Ethers.js/Web3.js. * Experience in early-stage or founder-led startups. * Interest in trading logic, tokenomics, or DeFi economics.
