Product Delivery Lead £45,000 to £50,000 Peterborough The Role The Product Delivery Lead plays a pivotal role in ensuring the successful delivery of our EPOS and ticketing software products in line with the company’s strategic roadmap and customer needs. This role focuses on coordinating technical delivery, managing development planning, removing blockers, and maintaining quality across our software portfolio. Working closely with key business stakeholders, QA, Professional Services, and Commercial teams, you will translate product priorities into actionable delivery plans and ensure successful execution. You will oversee development processes and delivery standards, focusing on coordination, progress tracking, and maintaining alignment between technical capability and business goals. This position requires strong knowledge of product lifecycle management, software delivery governance, and quality control, ensuring development work is efficiently executed, commercially relevant, and technically sound. Key Responsibilities Product Roadmap Execution Translate stakeholder-defined product priorities into actionable development tasks and delivery schedules. Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure roadmap milestones are clearly understood and achievable. Maintain product specifications, acceptance criteria, and version documentation for clarity across teams. Facilitate roadmap planning meetings, ensuring agreed priorities are reflected accurately within JIRA and supporting documentation. Track and report on progress against roadmap objectives, highlighting risks, dependencies, and mitigation actions. Technical Delivery Oversight Oversee all software development delivery ensuring standards, documentation, and quality are consistently achieved. Maintain governance over architecture, development methodology, and version control practices. Review and approve technical specifications and estimates for roadmap and bespoke work. Ensure efficient sprint planning, prioritisation, and issue resolution through JIRA workflows. Collaborate with QA to strengthen testing processes, automation, and release readiness. Product Quality & Performance Ensure all releases are delivered to scope, budget, and agreed technical standards. Track key performance indicators such as development utilization and defect rates. Work with the Service Desk to manage escalations, ensuring long-term product stability. Maintain focus on sustainable, scalable product performance. Cross Department Collaboration Collaborate with Professional Services and Customer Experience to ensure development output supports operational effectiveness. Partner with Commercial teams to assess feasibility and delivery timelines for new features and bespoke requests. Support internal teams with visibility of upcoming releases, feature overviews, and documentation. Liaise with key stakeholders to ensure continuous alignment between development activity and business objectives. Innovation & Continuous Improvement Stay informed on emerging technologies, frameworks, and tools relevant to our software stack and sector. Lead process improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency, automation, and delivery quality. Conduct competitor and market analysis to identify improvement opportunities within our technical offering. Challenge existing processes to achieve smarter, faster, and more scalable software delivery. What we’re looking for Proven experience in DevOps and software delivery environments, with strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automation. Familiarity with Azure DevOps, version control, and governance practices. Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate business priorities into actionable technical plans.
