Anglian Water is seeking a dynamic and experienced Procurement Lead to shape and manage procurement strategy within our Supply Maintenance Delivery (SMD) route. Our newly formed Supply Maintenance Delivery Team is building a fresh inspection and delivery framework, embedding innovative processes, and forging strong partnerships with our partners. About the Role This is a pivotal role where you’ll ensure our supply chain is robust, compliant, and efficient; supporting outcomes for our customers, regulators, and stakeholders. You’ll work closely with leadership, supply chain partners, and internal teams to deliver procurement excellence across sourcing, logistics, governance, and continuous improvement. What You’ll Be Doing Develop and lead the procurement strategy for SMD, aligning with wider business goals. Ensure compliance with procurement legislation and contractual obligations. Drive commercial efficiency through strategic sourcing and supplier performance management. Collaborate with Supply Chain Management to ensure timely and fit-for-purpose procurement. Monitor supplier payments and contractual liabilities, ensuring timely resolution and reporting. Embed procurement best practices and mentor colleagues across the SMD community. Lead continuous improvement initiatives and apply LEAN principles to procurement processes. Champion health & safety standards and contribute to a zero-accident culture.
