Closing Date 2025-12-05 Job Title: Process Excellence Manager Location: Kent/ Sussex/ Hampshire- The role can be based from one of our central offices within the region Job Type: 6 Month Secondment Hours: 37 hours per week Salary: Up to £50k depending on skills and experience Key Purpose of the Job: You will be accountable for the efficient and effective running of process excellence within Water Networks for Southern Water; with a team of 2 FTE, your focus will be optimising and streamlining existing processes in operations, playing a pivotal role in enhancing efficiency and reducing costs, improving overall operational performance and delivering compliance within Water Networks. Process Excellence Management is a challenging role due to the need to navigate the organisational structure while gaining buy in from the business through indirect line management. The process improvement will have to be driven alongside a complex business environment of process, people and technology, while leading a team. Accountabilities: Manage a team of 2 FTE, building the team structure and procedures. Quantify and dynamically assess organizational workflow. Prepare, lead, conduct and follow up on (cross-functional) workshops for process improvements. Ensure end-to-end process standardization between locations and departments and align to best practice. Prepare Business Process Maps and models. Be a change agent for the organization and create new solutions for existing business problems. Define and implement Customer Experience improvements projects. Provide support to solve strategic and operations business (process) problems. Analyse the cost of existing processes within the business and look for potential cost savings and identify areas of improvement Lead or participate in cross-functional teams focused on process improvement projects, managing timelines, resources, and budgets. Key skills/knowledge/qualifications/experience: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to identify root causes and recommend effective solutions. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams, present findings, and drive change. Understanding of change management principles and experience in guiding teams through process changes. In-depth knowledge of process improvement methodologies and tools, such as Six Sigma or Lean.
