Cleveland-Cliffs, Butler Works has an opportunity for a Process Engineer in the North Processing/Cold Mill Department. The Process Engineer will be responsible for driving profitability via optimization of processes to improve product quality and consistency. The ideal candidate will have experience in heavy industry with the ability to think outside the box in problem solving. Summary of Responsibilities: Develop and optimize processes to improve product quality and product consistency to drive improved profitability. Monitor and analyze product data for customer satisfaction, quality improvement and cost reduction. Conduct trials, observe product/process conditions and analyze results to improve product quality and reduce costs. Lead and/or support quality improvement and cost reduction projects. Serve as a technical resource for operations and maintenance departments. Collaborate with other departments to stay up-to-date on the latest technical developments to recommend and implement new products and processing conditions. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in engineering discipline Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate technical information to audiences with and without technical backgrounds Demonstrated organizational and change-management skills Proficient computer skills including knowledge and experience in databases and spreadsheets Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a heavy industrial environment Cleveland-Cliffs Inc. is the largest flat-rolled steel company and the largest iron ore pellet producer in North America.
