Job Details Job Location: Carmel, IN Position Type: Per Diem Salary Range: Undisclosed Description Summary/Objective The PRN Outreach Athletic Trainer position provides medical coverage and athletic training services to organizations partnered with Forté Sports Medicine and Orthopedics. Our Athletic Trainers are on the sidelines to evaluate, triage, and treat athletic injuries. Essential functions Provide athletic training coverage for athletic events in and around central Indiana Care for athletic injuries through taping and bracing, physical rehabilitation, first aid, triage, and referrals to Forte’s orthopedic specialists Conduct an initial assessment of an injury or illness to provide emergency care and to determine whether they should be referred to a physician for definitive diagnosis and treatment Perform administrative tasks such as making phone calls, sending emails, and documenting injuries Competencies (Knowledge/Skills/Abilities) Attentive Communication: The ability to ensure that information is passed on to others who need to be kept informed, to keep protected health information confidential, and to reply to company/manager emails promptly Collaborative Relationship Building: The ability to develop, maintain, and strengthen partnerships with others inside or outside of Forté Sports Medicine and Orthopedics Initiative: Identifying what needs to be done and doing it before being asked or before the situation requires it Decisiveness: The ability to make difficult decisions in a timely manner.
