We are looking for a foodie with a passion for front-facing customer service to join our dynamic team at our Highland Square Market Kitchen! If you have a passion for food and service, this role could be a great fit for you! This position is a Full-Time opening that requires open availability for flexible scheduling. Our store is open from 9:00 AM - 8:00 PM, 7 days a week and is CLOSED for all major holidays! 

Job Summary

The Market Kitchen Prep Cook prepares items for cooking, cooks, garnishes, and plates products served in the Highland Square Store. Responsible for maintaining sanitary kitchen workstation. 

Responsibilities

• Complies with all portion sizes, quality, ingredient standards, department rules, policies and procedures.
• Follows recipe specifications to prepare menu items in accordance with pre-determined costs.
• Prepares items for cooking by peeling, paring, coring, portioning, washing, sectioning, zesting, cutting, or scoring.
• Covers, dates and neatly stores and rotates all products.
• Requisitions items needed to produce food choices, notifies Kitchen steward as ordering needs occur.
• Maintains sanitary workstation.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education And Experience

• High school education or equivalent is required
• Previous experience in food service industry is strongly preferred
• Previous experience in retail or customer service is preferred
• Previous knife work experience is preferred
