Plant Supervisor – Concrete Production (Reading) Full-Time | Concrete Manufacturing | Front-End Loader Operations We are looking for an experienced and safety‑focused Plant Supervisor to join our concrete production team in Reading. In this role, you will help ensure the efficient operation of the site, the production of high‑quality concrete and mortar, and the delivery of excellent customer service. You will also operate the Front-End Loader as required. Key Responsibilities Work closely with plant and order office teams to ensure concrete and mortar are produced to customer requirements. Maintain a clean, safe, and professional yard, plant, and facility at all times. Carry out regular inspections and routine maintenance of plant equipment in line with company procedures. Ensure waste disposal, water discharge, and dust control comply with environmental standards. Monitor material availability and complete daily visual stock checks, with weekly verified checks. Inspect incoming materials to ensure quality and suitability for production. Ensure employees, contractors, and visitors follow site safety rules and procedures. Optimise plant utilisation through continuous review of work methods and resources. Operate the batching plant and Front-End Loader in line with company standards. Accurately batch concrete/mortar in accordance with procedures once trained. Report any defects or issues affecting safety, environment, quality, or service. Maintain full compliance with health and safety legislation, environmental policies, quality control requirements, and fraud prevention procedures. Attend training as required and keep knowledge up to date. Perform additional tasks as requested by management. What We’re Looking For Experience in concrete production or a similar industrial environment. Competent in operating a Front-End Loader (FEL). Strong focus on safety, housekeeping, and compliance. Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with customers and colleagues. Proactive approach to problem‑solving and continuous improvement. Why Join Us?
