Job Description Summary The Peebles Data Acquisition Technician will perform technical assignments involving instrumentation and data acquisition/processing systems under the leadership of appropriate staff or project personnel. Job Description Essential Responsibilities Perform assigned tasks including setup, installation, calibration, documentation, and operation of analog and digital instrumentation data acquisition and processing systems Contribute to the investigation, correction and documentation of instrumentation or system malfunctions Assist in the interpretation and processing of associated test data Maintain effective communications with customers, support organizations and team members Actively participate in multi-skills development Basic Qualifications High school diploma or GED Plus 2+ years of relevant technical experience OR Associate degree or technical diploma in electronics, electrical engineering technology, instrumentation, computer engineering technology, mechatronics, or related field Desired Characteristics Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and effectively Ability to perform in a self-directed team environment Experience with data acquisition systems and instrumentation in an engine, turbine, or similar high-energy test environment. Familiarity with sensors (thermocouples, RTDs, pressure transducers, strain gages, speed/position pick-ups) and signal conditioning. Ability to interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, P&IDs, and test procedures, and provide feedback to improve documentation and standard work. Demonstrated troubleshooting skills for signal issues (noise, dropout, incorrect scaling) and basic mechanical or electrical problems during test setup. Experience participating in root cause analysis or corrective actions is a plus.
