In this role, you will provide comprehensive legal and administrative support to the General Counsel, playing a pivotal role in corporate governance, compliance, and litigation coordination. You will manage corporate records, track regulatory requirements, and assist with contracts, board materials, and intellectual property management. This position offers the opportunity to influence legal operations in a dynamic, regulated industry, working closely with internal teams to ensure adherence to corporate policies and regulatory standards. You will be responsible for streamlining processes, supporting strategic initiatives, and maintaining meticulous attention to detail across multiple priorities. The role combines hands-on legal work with operational insight, providing a broad view of corporate legal functions. \n Accountabilities: * Maintain corporate records, organizational documents, and entity management databases, ensuring accurate tracking of filings and compliance requirements. * Support preparation of board and shareholder resolutions, consents, and meeting materials. * Assist with litigation coordination, including case file management, document production, legal holds, and general litigation administration. * Draft basic contracts, forms, letters, and other legal documents as needed. * Manage and support intellectual property portfolios, including trademarks and patents. * Monitor and document compliance with federal and state/provincial transportation, safety, and environmental regulations; coordinate internal compliance initiatives and training. * Provide general legal operations and administrative support, including maintaining legal templates and policy libraries. Requirements: * 5+ years of paralegal or legal assistant experience, ideally within an in-house corporate legal department. * Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred. * Strong knowledge of corporate governance, contract management, and regulatory compliance processes. * Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. * High level of attention to detail and discretion with confidential information. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with contract management systems and entity management platforms (e.g., CSC) is a plus. * Strong interpersonal and communication skills; team-oriented mindset. * Experience in transportation, logistics, or another asset-heavy, regulated industry is a plus.
