Job Summary Job Profile Summary Summary Responsible for providing therapeutic services to individuals, families, and groups in an outpatient behavioral health setting. The Outpatient Therapist conducts clinical assessments, develops individualized treatment plans, and delivers evidence-based interventions to support patients coping with mental health, emotional, or psychosocial challenges. This role collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to promote recovery, well-being, and continuity of care. Does this position require Patient Care? Yes Essential Functions -Provide direct outpatient therapy services to patients using approved clinical methods and therapeutic approaches. -Conduct psychosocial assessments and diagnostic evaluations to develop individualized treatment plans. -Deliver individual, group, and/or family therapy based on clinical needs and patient goals. -Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure effective outcomes. -Collaborate with psychiatrists, nurses, case managers, and other care providers to coordinate treatment and referrals. -Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with organizational and regulatory standards. -Participate in clinical team meetings, case consultations, and care planning activities. -Educate patients and families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and coping strategies. -Comply with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations regarding patient care and privacy (e.g., HIPAA, licensing standards).
