The Role The Operations Specialist will have a passionate focus on efficient and effective operations and continuous improvement through ongoing optimization and implementation of process and technology. Success in this role requires strong ability to plan, organize, and support all aspects and functions essential to the productivity and success of the department. Key Responsibilities The Operations Specialist will be responsible for, but not limited to: Collaborating with internal team members to continually enhance operational processes that improve business operations and operational efficiency Analyzing data and leveraging insights to identify operational improvement, implementing recommendations, and tracking success Documenting and maintaining process, project, and other support resources Serving as process owner of operational workflows, ensuring adherence to current business processes Serving as a subject matter expert for key systems and workflows, including some system configuration and administration responsibilities Serving as a liaison to other internal departments on behalf of the business unit to ensure success of cross-functional processes, such as: employee onboarding, candidate and consultant engagement support, and policy and process administration Supporting candidate and consultant engagement activities and programs, including but not limited to: new hire consultant orientation, consultant mentorship program, and consultant training sessions Consulting and collaborating with team members and leaders across the business unit to gain alignment and drive adoption of new initiatives, including enhanced initiatives from current processes and systems Partnering with team members to facilitate business unit training and creation of training materials in support of newly implemented and optimized systems, functionality, and processes Organizing and coordinating strategic planning sessions, meetings, and functions for the business unit Supporting projects of varying sizes as a project team member, working across functions to achieve successful project outcomes in support of departmental objectives Serving the consulting services team with other support and enablement activities as needed Working on projects that may be assigned on an ad hoc basis and may assist other corporate initiatives, as necessary Organizing and prioritizing large volumes of email, calls, and internal communications Preparing and sending correspondence, adapting content and format based on the needs of the audience including, but not limited to candidates, consultants, third-party vendors and internal partners Scheduling and organizing meetings, conference calls, and department activities including social event coordination Skills and Experience Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required Must demonstrate and embody Nordic’s maxims 2+ years’ experience in business operations required 1+ year experience in project management preferred Excellent interaction skills, collaborative work style, and interpersonal skills Strong analytical skills and ability to use data to optimize performance and inform future strategies Desire to learn areas of the business and systems to develop knowledge that allows you to achieve success in a variety of tasks Able to balance urgent, short-term needs with strategic, long-term priorities Strong attention to detail, ability to organize and prioritize tasks, and ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting customer service commitments and project timelines Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Proficient with Microsoft Office products and other collaboration tools, including virtual meeting and cloud technologies Self-starter who pays attention to the details, works well under pressure and has ability to meet deadlines while monitoring one’s own work product Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment Nordic is an equal opportunity employer.
