After the successful bid of Western Sydney Airport (Automatic metro line), RATP Dev is willing to continue its development in Sydney and Melbourne with other bids, among which MR5. MR5 is the commuter train network of Melbourne’s suburbs. It is the largest contract in the southern hemisphere, with 220 trains over 1000km of tracks, 17 lines, and 226 stations for 450 daily passengers. RATP Dev is looking to build a bid team to respond to this ambitious project and to implement the operation & maintenance activities in case of a successful bid. Thus, this job offer is a 6-12 month position starting in summer/fall 2024 which could turn into a multi-year expatriation if RATP Dev wins the tender. MISSIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES Under the leadership of the Technical Head, the Operations Lead is a workflow leader in his area of expertise and has a key role regarding the bid strategy and management. As a workflow leader, he coordinates OCC, trains scheduling/pathway and stations management experts' work to deliver the technical offer. He works with the financial leaders to build the financial offer. The Technical Head oversees around 10 people in a partnership organization. In case of a successful bid, he will have the opportunity to occupy a high-responsibility position that will be defined according to the setup of the future organization. During the bid phases, the Operations lead must develop a deep understanding of the client’s expectations, the network conditions, the contractual framework, and their financial implications to build a strong and relevant technical offer. He defines and explains to the State of Victoria, how RATP Dev would: - Effectively manage the processes and resources to meet the requirements of the Melbourne Trains passengers, such as service frequency, punctuality, cleanliness, and provision of information - Build and maintain an organisation that is committed to delivering customer service excellence - Meet and exceed Key Performance Indicators by ensuring system availability (train, system, and infrastructure operational needs) - Implement robust processes across the operations activities, with an emphasis on safety requirements and processes, striving to deliver operations in a safe but cost-efficient manner. In case of a successful bid, your position could include: - Oversee all functions of the Operations department and be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Melbourne Trains - Manage the financial budget for the Operations Department - Provide direction to direct report managers regarding the resolution of complex matters, compliance issues, and potential difficulties related to operations - Be the focal point in crisis or incident management, taking the lead role and communicating effectively - Regularly meet with the Client to discuss any matters relating to the operations of Melbourne Trains - Develop, agree, and manage a robust strategy and annual plans for the contract to meet contractual requirements and business targets Profil - Minimum 15 years experience in metro or railway operations management - Working knowledge of train scheduling, train utilisation, train crew roster, control center operations, station operations, train operations, and depot operations - Good understanding of the rail systems basics such as signalling systems, power supply distribution, platform screen doors, automatic gates and fare collection, track and crossovers, control and communication systems, maintenance systems, their functions and operations - Experienced and competent decision-maker as well as performing within a team environment - Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to maintain employee engagement - Able to work with autonomy and initiative - Strong relational aptitude and team management ability - Good organisational awareness and works to deliver for the organisation - Able to manage self and others during challenging situations CDI Temps plein Au moins 10 ans d'expérience Maitrise, IEP, IUP, Bac+4 Responsable Exploitation Modalités contractuelles du poste à définir (CDI ou MAD). 02.
