We will select and support thousands of entrepreneurs to build ventures with the potential to mitigate over 400 million tonnes of CO2e per annum by 2040. We have set this target because humanity has just a few years to reduce our emissions and slow the pace of global warming, and the innovation delivered by entrepreneurs can play a significant role within this fight.

We simply don’t have time for founders to waste on dead ends or incremental solutions, or to build companies which don’t make a true impact on emissions. The future is Net Zero. Our startups are already building it.


About the Role


We’re looking for a practical, organised person who enjoys keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes. This is a remote-first role, so you’ll mainly work from home, joining us online day to day and occasionally in person around Cambridge or London.


You’ll support the operational backbone of the organisation — helping with finance processes, data management, documentation, and coordination across teams. The role suits someone who likes bringing order to complex systems, keeping information accurate, and ensuring that details don’t slip through the cracks.



What You’ll Do


Finance & Administration

  • Assist with processing, tracking, and filing invoices and related documents.
  • Help maintain accurate finance records and month-end data.
  • Keep shared finance spreadsheets current and well structured.
  • Gather missing documents from suppliers and accountants.
  • Send standard agreements and other operational documents for signing.


Systems & Documentation



  • Support the setup of new users and maintain up-to-date records of system access.
  • Help organise and maintain shared folders and documentation libraries.
  • Keep internal process guides and templates accurate and easy to find.
  • Ensure access lists, contact records, and permissions remain current.


Data & Reporting



  • Assist with data cleaning, anonymisation, and preparation at the end of each reporting cycle.
  • Help compile summary data and basic reports for internal use.
  • Export and organise datasets for analysis or compliance reviews.
  • Maintain accurate records of operational and investment-related documentation.


General Operations



  • Support onboarding of new staff and contractors by coordinating documentation and access.
  • Track key operational and compliance deadlines.
  • Prepare and circulate meeting notes, reports, and updates.
  • Handle day-to-day administrative tasks — scheduling, filing, and follow-ups.


Skills & Experience


  • Excellent organisation and attention to detail.
  • Comfortable working with common office software and learning new tools quickly.
  • Strong written and spoken communication in English; German skills an advantage.
  • Familiarity with data handling, spreadsheets, and document management.
  • Experience in operations, administration, or finance support preferred.
  • Able to manage multiple priorities calmly and independently.
