Job Details Job Location: Greenwich, CT 06831 Brunswick’s Middle School seeks an exceptional mathematics educator for the 2026-2027 academic year who possesses both technical expertise and a genuine commitment to our mission of preparing boys for life through rigorous academic instruction, mentorship, and co-curricular involvement. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Design and deliver weekly mathematics instruction aligned with Brunswick’s curriculum standards and mission. Assess student learning through varied methods and provide constructive, encouraging, and corrective feedback. Collaborate with department chair, division head, and/or colleagues on curriculum development and instructional improvement. Meet classes as scheduled; notify Division Head in advance of absence, and, if possible, arrange for coverage. Be accessible to students through school-appropriate communications platforms, or scheduled office hours, including arranging, when necessary, additional time for appointments. Serve as an advisor to a group of students, providing guidance and support. Communicate regularly with families about student progress. Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school events. May coach or lead co-curricular activities (athletics, clubs, or other programs). Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics or related field (Master’s preferred). Demonstrated excellence in Middle School mathematics instruction Commitment to boys’ education and alignment with the school’s mission and values. Ability to fulfill the Teacher/Advisor/Coach model Strong communication and collaboration skills Physical Requirements and Work Environment: Primary work in traditional classroom settings with whiteboards, technology, and student desks. Teaching schedule is typically during standard school hours with additional time for preparation, grading, and meetings. Coaching or advising responsibilities may extend into evenings, weekends, or afternoons. Collaborative environment requiring regular interaction with students, colleagues, families, and administrators. Professional dress and conduct are expected as role model for students. Ability to stand and move around the classroom for extended periods during instruction. Ability to supervise students in various settings, including classrooms, dining hall, athletic fields, and co-curricular activities.
