Insures accurate and reliable test results by adhering to a strict quality control program. Performs instrument function checks and preventative maintenance procedures according to department’s policies and procedures. Maintains records and statistical data according to regulative requirements. Teaches new employees and students laboratory policies and procedures. Collects chain of custody urine drug screens as required. Assists as needed in all laboratory areas as required to maintain appropriate patient care. Assists in covering other shifts when necessary. Experience: Entry level skills - meets competency based criteria Additional Job Description Education: Associates Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or related field or any equivalent combination of education and experience in the medical laboratory. Must meet qualification requirements for testing personnel set forth in Title 42, Sec. 493.1489, CLIA.
