About the Opportunity At Charta, we prioritize results compared to methods used to achieve those results. As a Medical Coder, you're responsible for: Confirming the correct usage of ICD-10-CM codes and CPT codes for E/M coding Acting as a coding resource for clients, offering feedback on documentation needs for correct coding Proactive collaboration to assure accurate coding The ability to work in a fast-pace environment Ensuring privacy requirements compliance, including adherence to the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), and the immediate reporting of any inconsistencies or Protected Health Information (PHI) breaches. You'd be a great fit, if you have: Minimum of 2 years of experience in E/M coding in any or all of the following specialties: Behavioral Health, Home Health, Urgent Care, Pediatric Primary Care and Interventional Radiology; and an Associate's degree in health information management systems, or a related field or a combination of education and experience Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English Knowledge of Medi-Cal, Medicare, and other commercial payer billing requirements Strong organizational skills, time management, follow-through, reliability, and attention to detail Knowledge of medical terminology Intermediate level experience with Google Drive Ability to work with a multi-disciplinary team Strong communication skills to be used across engineering, product and other functional teams.\ What We Offer: Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental and vision Equity & growth opportunities in a fast-growing, innovative tech startup.
