Job Summary: The Logistics Entry Analyst is responsible for supporting the logistics team by performing data entry and analysis tasks. This role involves collecting, processing, and maintaining accurate records of shipment data, inventory levels, and transportation costs. The Logistics Entry Analyst assists in preparing reports, identifying trends, and providing insights to improve logistics operations. Responsibilities: Data Management • Accurately enter and maintain data in logistics database • Update and reconcile data as needed • Identify and resolve data discrepancies • Monitor data quality and integrity • Generate and distribute reports on data metrics Inventory Management • Track and manage inventory levels • Coordinate with vendors for timely delivery of goods • Conduct regular inventory audits • Identify and report inventory discrepancies • Analyze inventory data to identify trends and make recommendations for improvement Supply Chain Coordination • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products • Communicate with suppliers and carriers to coordinate shipments • Monitor shipment status and update relevant parties • Maintain accurate records of all supply chain activities • Identify and address any supply chain issues or delays Cost Analysis • Monitor and report on logistics costs and expenses • Identify cost-saving opportunities and make recommendations for improvement • Analyze logistics data to identify trends and patterns related to costs • Work with finance team to ensure accurate budgeting and forecasting for logistics expenses Process Improvement • Continuously review and evaluate current logistics processes • Identify areas for improvement and make recommendations for streamlining processes • Implement and track the effectiveness of process improvements • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve overall logistics operations Compliance • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry regulations and best practices • Identify and report any compliance issues or concerns • Implement and monitor compliance training for logistics team members. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field or equivalent work experience that provides exposure to fundamental theories, principles, and concepts. • Basic understanding of inventory management principles and practices. • Proficiency in inventory management software and data entry. • Strong attention to detail and accuracy. • Good analytical and problem-solving skills. • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
