As a Market Group Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role and be accountable for the Company’s business development and sales strategy implementation to support growth in the Cyber and Intelligence market. This role will lead our go to market activity in the MOD Cyber & Specialist Command, Defence Digital and Defence Intelligence Markets. Engaging with both MOD and Industry Clients, you will be responsible for leading an existing team that represents your market area, who act as a focal point for our clients and are responsible to you, for developing a profitable portfolio of work. What You’ll Be Doing: Oversee business development efforts across key defence, engineering, and technology sectors, aligning with strategic objectives Build and manage long-term client relationships, becoming a trusted advisor and first point of contact. Accountable for identifying, and mitigating commercial risks Identify and qualify new business opportunities Provide accurate forecasting and reporting of pipeline, performance, and market intelligence to senior leadership. Line Manager for a group of Business Managers on a day-to-day basis, providing functional leadership, coaching and mentoring Essential Experience: Skillful in enhancing business development and boosting sales, ideally in the UK's Defence Nuclear Enterprise, but applicable to wider defence, engineering, or technology sectors Ability to engage with technical teams and translate complex offerings into compelling business value Skillful communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills Organised professional with a strategic mindset and a results-driven attitude. Desirable Experience: Background in consulting would be advantageous. Existing network within defence primes, government agencies, or related industries Experience with framework agreements and public sector bids Degree in business, engineering, or a related field is beneficial.
