A level two operator is responsible for the manufacture of cell culture media and reagents. Working in a specific department to either prepare, formulate, or package product to our customer requirements following a safety, quality then service work ethos. A Day in the Life: Daily Briefing and Planning: Start your day with a comprehensive briefing to align on goals and tasks. Equipment Setup and Calibration: Prepare and calibrate machinery to ensure optimal performance. Batch Manufacturing: Execute the production process, adhering to detailed specifications. Process Monitoring: Continuously monitor manufacturing processes to maintain quality and efficiency. Quality Control Testing: Conduct rigorous quality control tests to ensure products meet our high standards. Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate records of production activities and quality assessments. Troubleshooting and Maintenance: Address and resolve equipment issues to minimise downtime. Adherence to Safety Protocols: Follow strict safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment. Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with various departments to streamline operations and achieve common goals. End-of-Day Review and Reporting: Conclude your day with a review of activities and detailed reporting to keep the team informed. Education: Must possess a National 5 or better in Standard Grade Math’s, English and at least one science subject. Relevant work experience will be considered as a suitable alternative. Experience: Experience in a similar industry is suitable with at least 1 year spent working in a high efficiency manufacturing environment. Full training will be given to candidates. Individual must embrace a high paced working environment and show passion for our industry. Must be driven to continuously improve and fully engage in any initiatives that the team undertakes to make things better. Contacts: Has contact with all Cell Culture employees as well as other functions within the operation. Will liaise extensively with team leaders and supervisors of all work streams and independently communicate with all other departments on matters relating to safety, quality, and service, to uphold the Company’s commitment to Customer satisfaction. This involves working with people at all levels within the organization and may involve interaction with customers during site visits. Working Conditions: Works in a manufacturing environment which has different types of gowning requirements for graded and non-graded areas. Is required to perform manual handling tasks that may be repetitive and involve having to stand for long periods of time while performing duties. Must be able to work safely with chemicals and hazardous materials. Must be able to work overtime and a rotating shift pattern.
