At Ross Video, we design and manufacture live production equipment used around the world — from major broadcasters to esports arenas'. Our Manufacturing Engineering & Technologies (MET) team builds the internal tools that power the factory floor. We’re looking for a developer who enjoys solving real-world problems with code — someone who sees a slow or manual process and thinks, “We can make this better.” This role sits directly inside our manufacturing organization. You’ll work shoulder-to-shoulder with engineers, production, warehousing, and logistics to improve the systems that support manufacturing performance. This role is located in Iroquois, One (1) hour south of Ottawa. Who you will report to: Manager, Manufacturing Systems Work lane: Work from Office Career Level: D What you’ll do: Seek to understand how our manufacturing systems currently work and operate. Work across disciplines to understand the real-world problem before building the right technical solution. Build internal web apps, automations, APIs, and dashboards that help us manufacture smarter. Connect data across systems — manufacturing equipment, test infrastructure, ERP, databases, spreadsheets — and make it usable. Own projects end-to-end, from concept to implementation. You might be a great fit if: You’ve built tools to solve practical problems — even if just for yourself or a small team. You see software as a means to get things done. You know (or are keen to learn) Python and SQL, and you’re comfortable learning as you go. You like working close to operations — understanding how things work and making them better. 3+ years with data, software development, or manufacturing IT/IS systems. Experience with business intelligence tools, process automation, or data analytics. Prior experience supporting and debugging software solutions. The stack we use (and can help you learn): Languages: Python, SQL, JavaScript, and some C# Frontend: Streamlit, PowerApps, and React (or similar) Backend: REST APIs Data tools: MSSQL, ETL pipelines, PowerBI Dev tools: Git, Jenkins Systems: ERP, test stations, production databases, custom internal platforms What we care about You don’t need to be an expert in all our tools — we care more about your ability to learn and build.
