Job Description: As a key part of the Corporate Tax Team, the Manager contributes to meeting the income tax reporting and compliance obligations of Sun Life Financial and its Canadian subsidiaries. Assist in the accurate and timely preparation of federal, provincial income tax returns for Sun Life Financial and its Canadian subsidiaries Assist with preparation of formal responses to queries from tax authorities Responsible for portions of the Canadian quarterly consolidated income tax provision process including the current and future tax asset/liability reconciliation Keep apprised of changes in accounting and financial reporting to ensure tax implications are understood and communicated Liaise with financial staff in other areas regarding information needed to ensure accurate and timely tax compliance and reporting What do you need to succeed? Accounting designation (CPA) MTax or CPA Canada In depth Tax Course desirable Strong analytical, communication and problem solving skills Strong attention to detail Strong time management skills; ability to balance and prioritize simultaneous tasks that are deadline oriented Proficiency in Excel and Word Ability to work with a high degree of independence and also participate in a team environment What's in it for you?
