Role Summary: Purpose is looking for an exceptional individual who is prepared to take on multiple responsibilities to help Purpose succeed in its business initiatives. The role will involve the individual working within the fund operations team to achieve daily, weekly, and monthly tasks. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, detail-oriented, and looking to grow with the organization. Key Responsibilities: Troubleshooting investor transactions that are failing processing or settlement. Assist dealers/advisors/administrators in purchasing or selling Purpose products. Help produce and/or review tax filings and investor tax slips. Manage onboarding and continued maintenance of investor accounts, whether they be nominee, client name, or exempt market dealer. Review for accuracy/completeness and maintain client completed subscription agreements. Conduct due diligence reviews for new investor onboarding, including KYC and AML checks. Manage and quality control investor statement generation and dissemination. Support the sales team with questions relating to the purchase & sale of Purpose products. Manage and troubleshoot fund data across media vendors. Supporting the team in the preparation of legal documents for prospectus filings and fund launches. Daily responsibility of ensuring the smooth operation of all Purpose products, including managing the cash balance of each fund, reconciling day-to-day fund performance, and monitoring the currency hedging and leverage programs on the funds. Working directly with our portfolio managers to resolve trading issues and ensure proper settlement of trades. Completing monthly fund processes, including distribution calculations, management fee calculations, oversight of fund expenses, and other various monthly management reporting items. Assist with audits and regulatory reporting requirements. Ad hoc project work as required. Monitor industry trends and regulatory changes, make recommendations, and implement enhancements to improve investor operations. Qualifications: 5+ years of direct industry experience is a must. Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field. Seeking a professional degree in either accounting or finance (CPA, CFA, etc.) is a plus. Familiarity with investor KYC/AML requirements Experience within the investment fund industry, with a strong knowledge of back-office processes for security settlements and investment funds accounting in Canada. Knowledge of the Fundserv platform and associated Administrator & Dealer interfaces. Investment fund financial reporting and year-end fund tax processing are critical. Proficient in advanced financial software and tools, with experience building and analyzing dynamic financial models tailored to fintech applications. Fast learner with strong analytical skills; able to interpret complex financial and user data to develop tech-driven, strategic solutions. Highly organized with exceptional time management and multitasking capabilities in fast-paced, data-driven environments. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Why should you join us?
