Manager, Integrated Communications - Hybrid The Opportunity Are you ready to lead enterprise-wide communications that shape how Albertans engage with energy regulation? As Manager, Integrated Communications, you’ll drive clarity, consistency, and credibility across all internal and external channels at the Alberta Energy Regulator (AER). This role offers the chance to lead a multidisciplinary team, influence strategic priorities, and deliver impactful messaging that reflects the AER’s values. What your day-to-day will look like: Lead a high-performing team across internal communications, creative services, media relations, digital platforms, and the customer contact centre. Develop and execute integrated communication strategies that support organizational priorities and regulatory transformation. Oversee content development for key initiatives, ensuring messaging is timely, audience-focused, and aligned with AER’s mandate. Collaborate with senior leaders to advise on communication risks, opportunities, and stakeholder engagement. Champion innovation and continuous improvement in communication practices and platforms. What we’re looking for in you: Post-secondary education in communications, public relations, journalism or other related education. Minimum 12+ years experience in issues management, external communication, ideally with experience in strategic communication planning and communication account management, with 5+ years people leadership experience. Proven leadership experience in communications, public relations, or a related field. Strong strategic thinking and ability to translate complex ideas into clear, compelling messages. Experience managing cross-functional teams and fostering a collaborative, inclusive culture. Excellent judgment, adaptability, and stakeholder engagement skills.
