Work Flexibility: Onsite Manager, Environmental Health & Safety Our Stryker manufacturing site in Montbonnot is looking for a driven and experienced EHS Manager with focus on Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) to join our dynamic organization. In this role, you will be developing strategic direction, setting objectives, and determining direction for the EHS functions including, but not limited to, safety, environment, security, budget, and business continuity. What You Will Do: Strategic and operational EHS, leadership for developing the strategic direction and goals of the EHS function to ensure alignment with Stryker and site objectives. EHS SME for internal and external audits. Implement corrective actions as assigned. Specific areas of compliance responsibility include environmental controls, global and local safety standards, pest control, utility (air, water, gas) controls, employee/contractor training, documentation of equipment maintenance activities. Manage EHS functions. Develops procedures and programs to maintain quality/regulatory compliance. This position is responsible to ensure that all global and site requirements are met and reported. Act as primary contact in communications with local law enforcement, and local fire department. Develop and direct safety and environment programs to EHS functions. Areas of responsibility include global and local environmental & safety programs, guard service, access control, life fire safety system, incident investigations, and safety prevention programs. Responsible for the Safety Committee for Working Conditions (C2SCT), regulatory authorities and insurance companies. Ensure cultural and individual development of employees according to Stryker's leadership principles, ethical-standards, EHS- & quality-policies and HR practices. Plans, budgets, and schedules facility modifications, including collecting requirements, statement of works, and developing estimates on equipment, labor, materials, and other related costs. Maintain service agreements with contractor service providers such as: waste recycle, fire safety, security, insurance…. Define and publish metric reports for key performance parameters including utility data, incidents, near misses, safety observations, etc. Who are we looking for: Goal-oriented orchestrators. What You Need: Required: Degree in Engineering / Operations, or similar. Professional development in the area of EHS. Minimum of 6+ years’ experience in a manufacturing environment or equivalent. 6+ years of EHS Management experience. Experience in corporate and matrix-organized environment. These roles could have travel expectations, and you must work within the country of the job requisition location. Field-based – You can expect to regularly work a majority to 100% of time at customer facilities and has a set territory or expectation to travel within a set boundary. Almost all sales roles would likely be qualified as field-based. Onsite – Role is 100% located at a Stryker facility. Some ad hoc flexibility may be available depending on role, level, and job requirements. Manufacturing roles and any role that requires physical presence at the office would qualify under this category. Hybrid – You can expect to regularly work in both an alternate workplace and a Stryker facility. Roles that are partially remote or co-located would qualify as hybrid, and the expectation to be onsite would be defined and agreed upon by your manager/supervisor.
