Europe GPS Chief Control Office (CCO) is a key part of the GPS business, responsible for working with Risk Owners, Control Owners, Risk Stewards, and the broader GPS & Line of Business teams to manage risk and controls within appetite, and to support continued growth and innovation across GPS in a controlled and sustainable manner. We are looking for a proactive and diligent person to join this team in the role of Manager, Chief Control Office. Your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to): Managing Risk Control Assessment (RCA) processes on behalf of Risk Owners and Control Owners as requested (e.g. trigger event monitoring; stakeholder engagement; meeting organisation and outputs etc.); engage Risk Stewards as required. Coordinating with relevant business teams to ensure the proper and timely recording and reporting of internal events, management self-identified issues and their corresponding management action plans. Overseeing and driving the progress of issues and actions remediation through challenging owners to ensure due dates are met and issues are fully mitigated. Working with control owners to propose and implement continuous control monitoring and arrange the regular and ad-hoc reviews in response to the review findings, business initiatives and the update of Group policies and requirements. Supporting with GPS risk Governance activities. Leading the review of emerging risks and issue read across. Promoting operational risk awareness, including briefing and training to staff, sharing of internal/external incidents, etc. Assisting in internal and external audits and 2LOD assurance review including the review of issues and actions prior to submitting to GIA for validation. Identifying and sharing non-financial risk management best practice across CCO teams and business stakeholders. Proactively building and maintaining effective working relationships with all relevant colleagues and stakeholders across the three lines of defence to ensure the business remains within risk appetite. To be successful in this role you should have: Knowledge and understanding of the Non-Financial Risk framework. Experience of Global Payment Solutions would be advantageous. Understanding of operational risk and controls, preferably gained through experience in front line and risk roles. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to share and present complex information in a clear, concise, and accurate way. Experience of preparing content for presentation to governance forums and senior stakeholders. A good knowledge of HCIB and GPS, including products, services, systems & processes. Good understanding of audit or compliance activity. Critical thinking skills with ability to consider alternative and lateral solutions. An ability to prioritise and work independently under pressure within a team environment. Strong judgmental skills to identify and resolve complex problems whilst adhering to timelines and quality of output.
