Work Flexibility: Field-based Mako Field Service Technician North UK & Scotland Position Summary: We are seeking an outgoing and dedicated individual to join our team as a Mako Field Service Technician. In this role, you will be responsible for providing on-site technical support, performing installations, repairs, maintenance, and testing of Mako robotic systems. You will also manage tasks effectively to ensure all work is completed on schedule. To succeed in this role, you should possess strong analytical and time management skills. A first-class Mako Field Service Technician demonstrates leadership, excellent service orientation, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision to deliver high-quality outcomes. What you will do: Provide on-site technical support and customer service. Install, repair, maintain, and test Mako robotic systems. Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues in the field. Identify technical problems and perform root cause analysis. Understand customer needs and provide appropriate recommendations. Collaborate with colleagues to ensure consistent, high-quality support. Manage work progress and ensure adherence to schedules. Document service activities and complete detailed service reports. Build and maintain strong relationships with customers. Use your technical expertise and problem-solving skills to manage multiple projects, make sound decisions independently, and deliver effective solutions in a fast-paced environment. Engage confidently with customers and colleagues, building strong relationships through clear communication and a collaborative approach. What you will need: Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Familiarity with robotics or complex capital equipment preferred. Proficiency in Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office applications. These roles could have travel expectations, and you must work within the country of the job requisition location. Field-based – You can expect to regularly work a majority to 100% of time at customer facilities and has a set territory or expectation to travel within a set boundary. Almost all sales roles would likely be qualified as field-based. Onsite – Role is 100% located at a Stryker facility. Some ad hoc flexibility may be available depending on role, level, and job requirements. Manufacturing roles and any role that requires physical presence at the office would qualify under this category. Hybrid – You can expect to regularly work in both an alternate workplace and a Stryker facility. Roles that are partially remote or co-located would qualify as hybrid, and the expectation to be onsite would be defined and agreed upon by your manager/supervisor.
