Position Overview: The primary responsibility of the Maintenance Technician is to performs general repairs and maintenance for the organization including maintenance of structures and building systems, HVAC systems, plumbing systems, and electrical systems. Essential Job Functions: Repair structures and building systems Complete work orders and perform other duties as requested. Maintain structures and building systems in a satisfactory condition. Repair heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and electrical systems as needed. Maintain plumbing systems and does repair as needed. Maintain supplies and equipment needed to perform daily maintenance tasks Maintain equipment and work areas in a safe, clean and attractive manner. Inform supervisor of areas needing attention or repair and of needed equipment or Work independently and consider resident’s needs Understand and follow directions of supervisor, often working with little or no supervision Perform work unobtrusively in consideration of resident’s needs On-call rotation Serve as part of a rotating on-call pool, requiring availability to respond to calls and provide support outside of regular business hours as needed. Qualifications and Experience: Must be at least eighteen [18] years of age Prefer a minimum of 1-year experience performing general maintenance Must be able to deal tactfully with residents, visitors, and employees Must have valid KS driver’s license and meet Bluestem driving requirements Physical Requirements: Medium Work – Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly.
