Job Description Summary We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician with experiences in machining and welding fabrication to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating machining equipment, performing welding tasks, and ensuring the production of high-quality components. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and adherence to safety standards. Job Description Roles and Responsibilities: Operate and maintain CNC and manual machining equipment. Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications. Perform precision measurements and inspections to ensure quality. Understand and follow quality requirements to control the quality of machined products. Complete machine set-up and load tools as required Utilize tool room equipment such as Bridgeport Mills, Lodge – Shipley lathe, surface and internal grinding equipment, hand tools, drills, saws, insert tooling, etc. Ability to read blueprints, hand sketches, and specs. Ability to use CAD or other digital design tools to document ideas or work closely with an engineer to complete this task Set fixture offsets as required. Verify correct tool hardware, tool diameter, tool radius, drill length, and end mills. Verify accuracy of tool offset changes as needed. Maintain accurate work records. Utilize precision measuring instruments to inspect parts. Support our team concept and learn/perform other duties as required. Communicate effectively and professionally with others, both written and verbal. Follow and promote safe work practices. Support LEAN initiatives. Lift light to medium weight in an environment that may occasionally require crouching, stooping and/or awkward work positions. Support the design of tools and fixtures Welding: Perform various welding techniques (e.g., MIG, TIG, Stick) on different materials. Prepare and clean surfaces for welding. Inspect welds for accuracy and quality. Follow welding procedures and standards. General Duties: Collaborate with team members to meet production goals. Maintain a clean and organized workspace. Adhere to all safety protocols and wear required PPE. Document work processes and report any issues. Required Qualifications: Associate Degree or High School Diploma/ GED from an accredited school or institution. Proven experience as a machinist and/or welder. Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical drawings. Knowledge of machining tools and welding equipment. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to lift up to 75 pounds. Standing, bending, and working in various positions for extended periods. Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment.
